Location

Chueca is the apartment neighbourhood

The Chueca neighbourhood is an international example of how an area can be restored and turned into a unique area of personal freedom.

This Madrilenian neighbourhood has recently become the goldmine for alternative shopping. Take advantage of your stay here and spend a day wandering around the shops, which sell everything from souvenirs celebrating gay tourism to gifts, fashion, furniture, or books, always with an original touch.

The gayest neighbourhood in Europe has loads of gay-friendly venues where you can have a drink in the evening or the afternoon, dance the night away, chill out listening to some music, let yourself be seen, catch a show or just hang out with some friends.

The whole Chueca neighbourhood, located a few metres from Gran Vía, is a good example of the tolerance and respect typical of a modern, open and cosmopolitan city. It is open to a whole range of lifestyles creating a combination that is fun and spontaneous at the very least. Therefore, these festivities are not only celebrated by the gay community; instead, they are a favourite among people who want to live their lives freely. The proof of the fact is that instead of calling them the "Gay Pride festivities", we Madrilenians call them "the Pride festivities."
